Rishi Sunak visits Jewish school in London, assures community of safety

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited a Jewish school here on Monday amid the Israel-Gaza conflict and reiterated his government’s commitment to protecting the country’s Jews from attacks against them. The British-Indian leader also stressed that Israel’s campaign should be focused on terrorist group Hamas to avoid escalating conflict in the region. He said Britain has deployed spy planes in the Mediterranean region to monitor the conflict and prevent arms shipments from falling into the hands of terrorists. “I am determined to ensure that our Jewish community can feel safe on our streets, that anti-Semitism has no place in our society and that we will do everything we can to ensure that,” Sunak said on a visit to a Jewish school in north London.
