The rupee traded in a narrow range against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday amid a soft trend in domestic equity markets. Forex traders said investors’ sentiments have been affected by the continuous withdrawal of foreign funds.
The rupee opened at 83.31 against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market. After this it traded between 83.30 to 83.32 per dollar. The rupee had closed at 83.28 against the American currency on Tuesday.
