[ad_1]
Russia has been attacking Ukraine for two years. From fighter jets to tanks are destroying Ukrainian cities. On the other hand, Western countries have once again bombarded Russia with sanctions. This time not just one or two but 500 sanctions have been imposed on Russia. But to suppress these sanctions, Russia has used a lot of fireworks. The Moscow sky lit up with fireworks at night to celebrate Army Day. Army Day is a public holiday in Russia. Which is a day to honor those serving in the armed forces and military veterans.
Biden faces testing times
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky still has a lot of friends. He welcomes Western leaders to discuss security guarantees, sanctions against Russia and other urgent issues. US President Joe Biden remains a staunch ally, although $61 billion in aid has been held up due to political infighting in Washington. Looking towards the end of 2024, the US elections could bring about a change in the President and policy towards Ukraine and its war with Russia, which could darken the prospects for years to come.
America imposed more than 500 sanctions
The United States on Friday announced sanctions on more than 500 targets, taking action to mark the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. US President Joe Biden said that Kiev is still firm. Ukraine is still free. The people of Ukraine remain steadfast and unwavering in the face of Putin’s vigorous attack. The reason behind this is their bravery and their sacrifice. That’s why I’m announcing more than 500 new sanctions in response.
Ukraine claimed to have shot down the plane
Ukraine’s Air Force chief said that the army has shot down one of Russia’s aircraft on Friday, giving a crushing defeat to Russia. General Mykola Oleshchuk thanked Ukraine’s military intelligence for helping shoot down the Russian A-50 aircraft. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kulya told the UN Security Council in New York that an air strike hit a residential building in the southern port city of Odessa as the war was being discussed.
