Pudhari Online Desk : Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, India has regularly participated at the highest level in the efforts for peace between the two countries. India supports the world order based on the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law. Respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states should be maintained without exception, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval said on Saturday.
India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has participated in the summit of National Security Advisors and other officials organized by Saudi Arabia. Ukraine reached Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on Saturday (D.5) to participate in peace talks. Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia Suhail Khan and Consul General Mohammad Shahid Alam welcomed Doval at Jeddah Airport. Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia has led to meetings in Jeddah or the city itself to discuss a peace plan by President Volodymyr Zelensky. (Saudi Arabia)
Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, India has always believed that this conflict should be resolved through dialogue and determination. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also said that India is ready to do Wattel for a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
He further said that efforts for peace with participation and inclusiveness of all should be done in a just and sustainable way to break the peace and that is why India participated in the meeting in Jeddah.
“The whole world and especially the ‘Global South’ is bearing the brunt of the situation. India provides humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and economic assistance to neighboring countries in the Global South. India’s vision is to give dialogue and purposeful conduct and will continue to do so. This is the only way to peace,” said Doval.
