Riyadh:First Bollywood and now cricket, the relationship between Saudi Arabia and India is getting stronger. Saudi Arabia now wants to start the world’s richest cricket league with the help of the owners of IPL. Cricket and Bollywood are two of the most favorite hobbies of the public in India and now these hobbies are bringing the two countries closer. According to experts, on the pretext of Bollywood and cricket, India is now gaining ground in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is becoming its big partner in this. But on the other hand there is Pakistan which is not even getting financial help from Saudi Arabia.

Growing Stature in the Middle East
Saudi Arabia has been the country where films were banned. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, films were banned. In the year 2018, Saudi Arabia lifted the ban on films. Various relief decisions were implemented under the Vision 2030 of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the country, Mohammed bin Salman (MBS). Removing the ban on films was one of them. Same is the case with cricket. For the first time in the year 1960, cricket is mentioned in the country.

But the last few years have seen a change in this. According to well-known Pakistani journalist Dr. Qamar Cheema, where soft power India is trying to establish influence in the Middle East due to cricket and Bollywood, Pakistan is also facing difficulties in taking loans.

Pakistan’s magic is weak
There have been many conflicts between India and Pakistan continuously. The two countries have also fought three times. Due to Pakistan, a negative impact was seen on the connectivity with many international countries. But in the year 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government came to India, he started reshaping relations with Saudi Arabia. In the month of March, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Farhan Al Saud had said that relations with India have become stronger now. He had said that the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is also very strong. He termed relations with India as a priority.

Pakistan will not get loan
On the other hand, Pakistan is claiming that Saudi Arabia has assured it a loan of two billion dollars so that it can get loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). But so far Saudi Arabia has not said anything on this. A report from the Middle East Eye said that Saudi Arabia is not in a mood to provide economic relief to Pakistan. He is no longer going to give loan to Pakistan easily. Pakistan, which is currently facing a shortage of dollars, needs help from the IMF as soon as possible.

IMF needs assurance of financial help from China and Saudi Arabia so that it can issue bailout package. Saudi Arabia has also been advised on the Kashmir issue to adopt a friendly attitude with India. Where on one hand Pakistan is getting setbacks day by day, on the other hand its closeness with India is increasing.
