Western Railways said in a statement on Monday that Modi will flag off the inauguration of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Superfast train as well as the extension of the Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express to Okha through video conferencing at 9 am.
Mumbai Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the second Vande Bharat Express on the busy Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central route on Tuesday. Western Railways (WR) said in a statement on Monday that Modi will flag off the inauguration of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Superfast train as well as the extension of the Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express to Okha through video conferencing at 9 am.
Bookings for Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express will open at Passenger Reservation System counters and IRCTC website on the same day and regular services will commence from March 13, officials said. The superfast train will include air-conditioned chair cars and executive chair coaches. The distance of over 500 km between the two cities will be covered in less than six hours. This will be the second Vande Bharat Express between the two commercial centres. The first Vande Bharat train between the two cities was launched in 2022.
