Sensation due to murder of 11 people in Punjab, after kidnapping, gunmen killed them

islamabad (Uttam Hindu News): 11 people were killed on Saturday in Noshki area of ​​Balochistan province of Pakistan. All of them were from Punjab province of Pakistan. The attack points to growing communal hatred among extremist groups in Balochistan. Unidentified gunmen numbering 10-12 blocked the Quetta-Taftan Highway in Sultan Chorhai area of ​​Noshki and abducted 11 passengers from a bus.

Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel said the gunmen searched passengers on a Taftan-bound bus and abducted them. Later he was shot. Their bodies were found under a nearby bridge an hour and a half later. Noshki Station House Officer Asad Mengal said, nine of the eleven dead were from Punjab.

Sources said that the gunmen opened fire on the bus when it did not stop during the blockade on the Quetta-Taftan highway. More than a dozen gunmen fired at the bus from at least three sides, after which it overturned.

The gunmen identified government officials among the passengers, especially those from Punjab province, and killed them, a source with knowledge of the incident said. The attack does not appear to be communal as no other passengers were targeted.

It has emerged that at least nine of the 11 killed were first abducted before being shot, with their bodies later found under a nearby bridge. After the incident, security officials have cordoned off the area and a search operation is being conducted. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and other government officials have condemned the tragic incident.
