The problem of climate change and carbon emissions is widespread in the world. Many countries are taking various measures to control it. As the world’s second largest economy, China is continuously making efforts in this direction. Which we can clearly see from the measures being taken at the national and regional level. How serious China is in reducing carbon emissions can be gauged from the fact that special attention is being paid to low carbon elements. Due to this, an increase in cases of green and low-carbon patents etc. has been seen.

A report in this regard was released in the year 2023, which provides information about the work being done by China. According to China’s top intellectual property regulator, there has been an increase in the number of green and low-carbon patents in the country in the last few years. This shows that China is playing a leading role in innovation at the global level. It is reported that from the year 2016 to 2022, 5,58,000 green and low-carbon patents were recognized all over the world, of which the number of approved patents made by China in this field was more than 2 lakhs. In this way, China’s contribution was 36.8 percent of the global level. Keep in mind that China is very conscious about green and low-carbon system, which we see in the efforts of the government. China is doing new experiments in this field, so that the challenge of carbon emissions can be tackled.

It is said that during this period, the number of patents filed in China increased by about 9.3 percent every year. But in contrast, other countries and regions recorded a decline in the number of patents. This shows that China is making a very important contribution at the international level.

The places in China that are receiving the most attention on patents and green carbon are the capital Beijing, the southern provinces of Guangdong and Jiangsu. Along with this, we have seen that Chinese leaders from time to time announce many measures and achievements to deal with carbon emissions. This makes it clear that China has not deviated from its goal even during and after the Corona epidemic. It is noteworthy that China has repeatedly expressed commitment to reducing carbon emissions. Which is also an example for developed countries like America and Canada.
