Mumbai. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan launched their coffee table book ‘My Life in Design’. During this, Shahrukh told how his wife Gauri started her work on her own.
The actor shared that even though he has offered to help her, she has refused every time.
It doesn’t matter to youngsters to everyone who misses out on fulfilling their life’s dream of being creative, Shah Rukh said. You can start at any age. I think Gauri started her business at the age of 40.
Shah Rukh then looked at Gauri and then with his iconic smile said: 40? Oh, only 40. She is 37 now. In our family, we age backwards. So yes, Gauri started doing this at the age of 40, even after I said to her, ‘Listen, do you need some help? I have some friends we can talk to?’ Gauri refuses.
The actor said that Gauri started with a 10 feet by 20 feet shop in Lower Parel. She did it all on her own and she continues to do it.(IANS)
