Shares of Adani Group companies rose for the second consecutive day, Adani Power gained five percent.

New Delhi. Nine out of 10 listed shares of Adani Group closed on a positive note on Tuesday. Shares of group companies continued to rise for the second consecutive day. On BSE, shares of Adani Power rose 5 per cent, Adani Wilmar 4.15 per cent, ACC 4.09 per cent, NDTV 2.81 per cent and Ambuja Cements 2.09 per cent. Adani Ports shares gained 2.02 percent, Adani Total Gas gained 0.65 percent, Adani Enterprises gained 0.51 percent and Adani Green Energy gained 0.30 percent. Adani Energy Solutions was the only stock of the group to close down with a weakness of 1.25 per cent.
All the listed shares of Adani Group were also in the news on Monday, when Adani Energy’s share rose the most by more than eight percent. The group expanded rapidly, opening a $1.2 billion copper plant within a week, buying a port in Odisha and increasing a stake in a cement company. It has also tied up with rival Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries.
The group, through its filings and press releases to the stock exchanges over the past week, highlighted expansion and investment in its core port business, diversification into metal refining, capital infusion into its two-year-old cement sector and the commissioning of its mega solar project. Continual progress has been announced. Analysts say that the announcements made in the last one week are an indication that Adani is on the path of expansion again.
