He could not even open his mouth. Singh told that Gagandeep’s eyes were swollen and he was in a lot of pain. The counselor told that Gagandeep was going home after grocery shopping at around 10.30 pm when he encountered 12-15 youths in the bus. He said that they started harassing him and threw a ‘wig’ towards him. The student told him not to disturb him, otherwise he would call the police. However, they did not stop and continued to harass her. After this Gagandeep got down from the bus.

Counselor Mohini Singh said that they too got down after him and started waiting for the bus to leave. After that they attacked him, hit him on the face, stomach, hands and feet… took off his turban and pulled him by the hair and threw him on the dirty snow by the roadside. The attackers took his turban with them. Gagandeep called a friend after regaining consciousness.
Fellow students deeply troubled and scared by the attack
Mohini Singh further said that Gagandeep’s friends and international fellow students are very upset and scared of the attack. A meeting was held at the bus stop on Sunday in which they shared their security issues with each other.
