Sri Lanka China Radar India: Sri Lanka Crisis China Radar Plan Threaten India Strategic Assets And US UK Navy Base In Diego Garcia
[ad_1]
According to the report of the British newspaper Express, China is trying to install a new jungle radar in Sri Lanka, so that it will be able to spy on the military bases of both India and America in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lankan intelligence sources have revealed this project. Experts say that China is now trying to take strategic advantage of Sri Lanka by trapping it in a debt trap. The Chinese Academy of Sciences wants to build a remote satellite receiving ground station in Sri Lanka.
India’s Sriharikota space station can be monitored
This radar is to be installed in the dense forests of Ruhana, located in the south of Sri Lanka, which is located near the Dondra Bay. This area of Sri Lanka is very important strategically. With its help, China will be able to monitor and spy on warships of India and Western countries in the Indian Ocean. It is going to become the biggest threat to India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands and military installations in South India and America’s Diagogarcia Naval Base. With the help of its super powerful radar, China can spy on India’s Sriharikota space station, missile tests at Chandipur in Odisha and many other military bases.
Apart from this, China will easily be able to operate and monitor its satellites in space. China has suddenly increased the speed of sending its satellites into space and now it needs a ground station. China had launched 19 in the year 2015, which has now increased to 64. Through this he has sent 164 satellites. China has already planned to send 200 satellites this year as well. Defaulted Sri Lanka is currently buried under a mountain of BRI debt from China.
China sought permission to install radar in lieu of loan!
China first captured Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port and is now eyeing to build Redor station. China has recently offered Sri Lanka not to return the loan for two years. In return, China has placed a condition in front of Sri Lanka that it should be allowed to build a radar station. Experts say that during the deal with the IMF, China would have demanded this radar station instead of restructuring the debt. China had built a similar radar in Argentina in 2012 as well.
Sri Lanka has earlier allowed China’s spy ship to stay here. This was strongly opposed by India and America. Analysts say that the Sri Lankan government claims to be non-aligned, but this plan of China has raised serious questions about its claim. The Dondra Bay in which China wants to install this radar was once the capital of Sri Lanka.
