The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister advised India and China that it would be good for both the countries and the world to reduce their differences. China’s spy ship allowed to come to Hambantota port
The tension between India and China has become very serious after China’s bloody violence in Galvan Valley. 50-50 thousand soldiers of both the countries are face to face. Earlier, Sri Lanka had allowed China’s spy ship to come to its Hambantota port even after India’s protest. This is the same Sri Lankan port that China has occupied and is dreaming of making it a naval base. India has clearly stated that China can use the strategically important Hambantota port against it.
India is strengthening its relations with America to give a befitting reply to China. Ali Sabri said at the Sri Lankan embassy, ”We have made it clear to both China and India that we are ready to do business with anyone but will not take any step to harm each other’s country.” His statement has come at a time when Sri Lanka is pleading with China to restructure the debt but the dragon is still doing here and there. China accounts for 10 percent of Sri Lanka’s total foreign debt. According to analysts, China is trying to keep Sri Lanka trapped in debt trap.
Sri Lanka will increase BRI trapped in debt crisis
According to analysts, not even a year has passed since Sri Lanka’s plight and its tone has changed. Ali Sabri has met the Foreign Minister of China. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has pledged that it will ensure the success of the BRI project in the country. At the same time, Sabri also said that Sri Lanka will continue to follow the one China policy. Not only this, Sri Lanka is now going to do high quality work in the Belt and Road. India gave $ 4 billion aid to Sri Lanka, but now once again it seems to be going under the shelter of China.
