Civil Accounts Service officer SS Dubey took over as the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) on Monday. The Finance Ministry has given this information. Prior to taking over as CGA, Dubey, a 1989-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer, was the Additional Controller of Accounts, Public Financial Management System (PFMS). The CGA is the principal advisor to the Central Government on accounting matters and is responsible for the preparation of accounts and conduct of internal audit for the Central Government.
“S S Dubey took charge as the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) here today,” the ministry said. Dubey is the 28th Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Ministry of Finance, Government of India.” During his central deputation, Dubey had served as Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. In a statement, the ministry said Dubey also has five years of international experience at the United Nations, where he served as the head of procurement and logistics for the United Nations World Food Programme.
