Washington: Well-known businessman and SpaceX founder Elon Musk said on Sunday that his company’s huge ‘Starship’ rocket will fly to Mars in five years. This confirms his long-standing idea of colonizing human life on various planets.
Musk posted on his social media profile, “Starship will be on Mars within five years.” It is noteworthy that SpaceX on Thursday launched its third test flight of the Starship rocket from the Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, in which The rocket reached orbital speed for the first time.
Starship was sending photos until about 48.5 minutes after launch, but SpaceX later confirmed that it had lost the spacecraft. There was a possibility of this rocket falling in the Indian Ocean but it did not happen.
Starship is the centerpiece of SpaceX’s efforts to develop a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry humans to the Moon and for long-duration flights to Mars and beyond. The system is designed with the capability to refuel in space and land at various destinations in the solar system and return to Earth.
