New Delhi, 11 December (HS). The process of making a record of strength in the domestic stock market continues even today. Today’s trading had a mixed start, but shortly after the market opened, with the support of buying, the Sensex was successful in crossing the level of 70 thousand points for the first time. Similarly, Nifty also jumped and crossed the range of 21 thousand points. However, later due to pressure of profit booking, both the indices started trading slightly below the upper levels. After the first 60 minutes of trading, Sensex was trading with a gain of 0.23 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.19 percent.

After the first one hour of trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, ONGC, UPL, Coal India, IndusInd Bank and UltraTech Cement were trading with a strength of 1.86 percent to 1.16 percent. On the other hand, shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Apollo Hospitals, Axis Bank and Wipro were seen trading with a fall of 5.38 per cent to 0.57 per cent.

In the current trading, there was active trading in 2,072 shares in the stock market. Of these, 1,436 shares were trading in the green after earning profits, while 636 shares were trading in the red after incurring losses. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 21 shares remained in the green with the support of buying. On the other hand, 9 shares were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Whereas out of the shares included in Nifty, 35 shares were seen trading in the green mark and 15 shares were seen trading in the red mark.

BSE Sensex today once again created a record of all-time high opening and opened at 69,925.63 points with a gain of 100.03 points. As soon as trading started, this index jumped and crossed the level of 70 thousand points with the support of buying. However, due to pressure of profit booking in the first half hour of trading, this index fell into the red to the level of 69,797.15 points. But this pressure did not last long and buyers made purchases and again took it into the green mark. After the first hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am the Sensex was trading at 69,984.62 points with a gain of 159.02 points.

Unlike Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today with a weakness of 4.10 points at the level of 20,965.30 points. Despite starting with a decline, Nifty again set the record of all-time high in terms of opening today. Due to buying started as soon as the market opened, Nifty also jumped to a record level of 21,019.80 points within a short time. However, after this, due to selling pressure, this index once again fell in the red to 20,923.70 points. But within a short time, buyers made purchases and brought it back into the green. After the first hour of trading between continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am Nifty was trading at the level of 21,008.60 points with a gain of 39.20 points.

The domestic stock market started trading with gains in the pre-opening session today amid mixed global signals. In this session, BSE Sensex was at the level of 69,992.29 points with a rise of 166.69 points or 0.27 percent. Whereas Nifty had strengthened by 12.10 points or 0.06 percent in the pre-opening session and reached the level of 20,981.50 points.

Before this, on Friday, the last trading day of last week, the Sensex had closed at 69,825.60 points with a gain of 303.91 points or 0.44 percent. At the same time, Nifty had jumped 68.25 points or 0.33 percent and ended Friday’s trading at the level of 20,969.40 points.
