The buying spree that started right from the beginning of the business continued till the close of business today. Due to this, the stock market closed with a gain of more than 1 percent. With the support of continuous buying in the market, Nifty succeeded in crossing the level of 20,100 points intra-day for the first time since September 18. After the day’s trading, Sensex closed with a gain of 1.10 percent and Nifty with a gain of 1.04 percent.

During today’s trading, shares of energy, realty, automobile and IT sectors were bought the most. Apart from this, Banking and Oil & Gas indices also closed with a strength of more than 1 percent. Nifty Realty Index and Energy Index closed at record highs on the support of continuous buying. Similarly, buyers showed their strength in the broad market also, due to which the midcap index was successful in reaching a new peak of strength for the 10th consecutive day. Due to all-round buying in the market, BSE Midcap index closed with a gain of 0.78 percent. Similarly, the Smallcap index ended today’s trading with a gain of 0.40 percent.

Today, due to the boom in the market, the wealth of stock market investors increased by more than Rs 2 lakh crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased to Rs 333.16 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading. Their market capitalization on the last trading day i.e. Tuesday was Rs 331.05 lakh crore. In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 2.11 lakh crore from today’s trading.

Today, there was active trading in 3,841 shares in BSE during the day’s trading. Of these, 1,931 shares closed with gains, while 1,772 shares were in decline, while 138 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,126 shares in NSE today. Of these, 1,086 shares closed in the green mark after earning profit and 1,040 shares closed in the red mark after incurring a loss. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 25 shares closed with gains and 5 shares closed with decline. Out of the stocks included in Nifty, 41 stocks closed in the green mark and 9 stocks closed in the red mark.

BSE Sensex opened today at 66,381.26 points with a jump of 207.26 points. Buyers made their presence felt right from the beginning of trading, due to which the index gained momentum. However, the sellers kept making profits from time to time. Despite this, the index continued to rise with the support of buying. With the support of all-round buying in the market, this index reached the level of 66,946.28 points with a gain of 771.08 points, shortly before the end of today’s trading. However, in the end, due to selling due to intra-day settlement, the Sensex slipped slightly below the upper level and closed at 66,901.91 points with a gain of 727.71 points.

Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty also started trading today at 19,976.55 points with a gain of 86.85 points. As soon as trading started, selling pressure was seen building in the initial minutes, but within a short time the bulls completely dominated the market. This index crossed the level of 20 thousand points in the first half hour of trading. The index continued to rise despite minor selling shocks intermittently throughout the day’s trading. Due to continuous buying, this index crossed the level of 20,100 points and reached 20,104.65 points shortly before the end of today’s trading. After the day’s trading, Nifty closed at 20,096.60 points with a gain of 206.90 points.

After the whole day’s trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, Axis Bank was included in the list of today’s top 5 gainers with the strength of 3.82 percent, Hero MotoCorp 3.45 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 3.39 percent, Wipro 2.37 percent and Tata Motors 2.13 percent. On the other hand, Adani Enterprises joined the list of today’s top 5 losers with a weakness of 1.11 percent, ONGC 1.01 percent, Divi’s Laboratories 0.81 percent, Nestle 0.62 percent and Titan Company 0.38 percent.
