The document states that those granted permission to carry arms must be loyal to the nation, have good moral character and must not be involved in disturbing the security of the country. Army spokesman Maj Gen Jao Min Tun confirmed the policy to the BBC’s Burmese-language service on Sunday, saying it needed to be released because some people wanted to use weapons to protect themselves from attacks by anti-military groups. were demanding to be kept.
