A delegation of South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including President Ramesh Vaghasia and Vice President Vijay Mewawala, met Brazilian Ambassador Kenneth H. da Gobrecha and Japanese Ambassador Hoshima Suzuki in New Delhi on Friday. Also met Ajay Sheth, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The Chamber President apprised them about the Mission 84 project and discussed the importance of this project to further strengthen the economy of India and their country and requested them to join and support the Mission 84 project.
Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia informed him about Mission 84 and said that to increase exports from India, the Chamber of Commerce has created an online international platform under the Mission 84 Project, in which 84,000 entrepreneurs from India and businesses in different countries of the world can interact. 84,000 businessmen are involved. The meetings are being held to bring together 84 Chambers of Commerce of India and Chambers of Commerce of different 84 countries of the world on this online international platform. Under this project, efforts are being made to connect the Consuls General, High Commissioners and Ambassadors of 84 countries working in India as well as various ambassadors representing India in 84 countries of the world on this portal.
He invited the Ambassadors of Brazil and Japan to visit Surat to have a business meeting with the industrialists and businessmen of South Gujarat including Surat along with their country’s business delegation and to see and know about the development of industry in South Gujarat.
Surat Economic Forum has been formed by the Chamber of Commerce under Mission 84. Under this forum, national and international level experts are invited for the purpose of providing guidance to the industrialists and businessmen of Surat, under which the Chamber President, Ajay Seth, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Surat Economic Forum. Has been requested to come to Surat as the chief guest.
After meeting the Chamber of Commerce delegation, Ajay Seth smiled after hearing the name of Surat-Gujarat and expressed his happiness and said that the progress of Surat is very good and I had wanted to see Surat city for a long time.
