Surat: Chamber organizes interactive session of Global Connect Mission 84 Project. Loktej Surat, Business News

South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an interactive session under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 on Friday. In which, as the keynote speaker, Raj Desai, Vice President of America-based Texas Floor Engineering Company, guided the businessmen of Surat about the possibilities of business and export in America in the field of engineering.

Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia gave detailed information about the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 project. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of making India a five trillion US dollar economy by the year 2027. For this, an export target of US$ 1 trillion has been given to the industrialists, hence various efforts are being made by the Chamber of Commerce under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 to increase the contribution of industrialists in exports from Gujarat region. He further said that in this interactive session organized under Mission 84, the industrialists of Surat will get information about which products are in highest demand in America and on the basis of this, the industrialists of Surat will be able to export various products to America.

While giving information to the businessmen, Vice President of Floor Engineering Company of Texas, Raj Desai said that there is a huge demand for various products in the field of engineering in America. Particularly, demand for oil and gas, mining commodities, micro chips, defense related products, infrastructure related products, switch gear, transformers and fabrication materials is high. He further said that only quality products and timely delivery are given priority in America, hence he expressed confidence in the entrepreneurs of Surat for exporting to America. He further said that there is a great demand for skilled engineers in America.

Raj Desai said that his company currently purchases from entire Gujarat including Surat and will continue purchasing under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84. He asked the industrialists of Surat to provide us international level quality products and services. We have kept one of our representatives in Surat for purchasing from Gujarat. He also agreed to sponsor his company’s logo to support the Chamber of Commerce and Mission 84, which has boosted the enthusiasm of the Chamber’s Mission 84 team.

Honorary Treasurer of Chamber of Commerce Kiran Thummar and businessmen were present in the session. Sanjay Punjabi, Project Coordinator, SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84, thanked everyone present in the session. Mission 84 Project Head Paresh Bhatt moderated the entire session. Keynote speaker Raj Desai satisfactorily answered various questions of the industrialists and then concluded the session.
