Rangoli Competition organized by the Art and Culture Committee of South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 31st October 2023 at 1:00 pm at Platinum Hall, Sarsana, Surat. In which the contestants made beautiful rangolis with different colors and artists made their art. The exhibition of these rangolis will be open for the city residents from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm from 31st October to 2nd November.

Delivering the welcome address on the occasion, Chamber Vice President Vijay Mewawala said, “Many countries in the world are known for their art and culture. India is a country known for its unique art and culture, of which every Indian is proud. Everyone has art in various forms. Rangoli is a great medium to display art.

Guest of the program, former mayor and woman councilor of Adajan-Gorat, Hemaliben Boghavala, said, ‘It is said that Rangoli adds color to everyone’s life, but only a woman knows how to add color to the lives of all the people around. Is.’ , He urged women to think in a new direction and said that Rangoli is a tradition of Indians, but should we also think about economic benefits through Rangoli? On this occasion, Chairperson of Entertainment and Cultural Department of Surat Municipal Corporation, Sonal Desai, wished the women participating in the competition all the best for moving ahead in life. Contest judge and Inc. founder Gopal Patel gave the women information on how to organize the event within a time limit. He also thanked the women present.

Gopal Patel declared the winner in the Rangoli competition. Ram-Sita Rangoli on water made by Amita Bhagat stood first among the competitors. After this, Ayushi Desai’s Sardar Patel Rangoli was given second rank, Nidhi Garibnawaz’s Bukh Theme Rangoli was given third rank, Christy Tejani’s World War Rangoli was given fourth rank and Dharmi Thummar’s Bhagat Singh Rangoli was given fifth rank. All the winners were given citations along with awards. Also, every contestant participating in the competition was honored with a certificate.

Chairperson of the Chamber’s Art and Culture Committee, Swati Sethwala presented the outline of the program. The entire program was conducted by Nimishaben Parekh, member of the Chamber’s Art and Culture Committee. In the end, Art and Culture Committee co-chairman Kritika Shah expressed her gratitude to all the participants. Chamber’s Women’s Wing President Manishaben Bodawala, Chamber’s former President Himanshu Bodawala, Honorary Minister Nikhil Madrasi, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar were present in the program.
