A session on ‘Entrepreneurship Opportunities in America’ was organized under SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 of South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday 19 February 2024 at 11:00 am at Sanhati Building, Sarsana, Surat. In which the entrepreneurs and businessmen of Surat were guided about entrepreneurship and business opportunities in America by Dr. Jayesh Seth, Chairman of American Flag Inc.
Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia welcomed everyone in the session. He said, now India is being welcomed all over the world. Especially after the presidency of G-20, the doors of the world have opened for India. Under Make in India, India will have to make products for the whole world and develop products as well as services.
American Flag, Inc. Dr. Jayesh Sheth, President, said, America has conserved natural resources like air, water and land. America had invested in China for the last 50 years, but now America wants to reduce its dependence on China. When countries and industries including America are looking at India as another option and are going to invest in India, then investment and manufacturing will increase in India under Make in India, in which technology will play an important role for clean manufacturing.
He said, America can also take technology from India, hence there is an important opportunity for the entrepreneurs associated with IT sector in Surat in the service sector in America. Looking at the way India has handled Covid, it has made 40 years of progress in 4 years. Due to which a huge opportunity has come for the service industry in India. He said that while America is focusing on innovation, India is also moving towards innovation. Entrepreneurs associated with manufacturing industry and service industry will now have to change their mindset and focus on technology.
He further said that cooperative societies will have to be brought in manufacturing, accounting and service sectors. Medical equipment and industrial park will have to be built, quality management will have to be done. Pharma industries are moving towards biomedical. There are a lot of innovations happening in cancer Alzheimer’s. Nanotechnology can bring great progress in various fields.
Nikhil Madrasi, Honorary Minister of Chamber of Commerce and entrepreneurs from textile, real estate, pharmaceutical and IT sectors of Surat were present in the session. Mission 84 Coordinator Sanjay Punjabi presented the SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 project. Dr. Jayesh Seth was introduced by Chaturbhai Chabhaya of Atlanta, America. Paresh Bhatt, CEO, Mission 84, moderated the entire session. At the end of the session, Dr. Jayesh Seth gave satisfactory answers to various questions of the entrepreneurs of Surat and then the session ended.
