Air India and Tata Advanced Systems will invest Rs 2,300 crore in Karnataka

Bengaluru. Tata group companies Air India and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) plan to invest Rs 2,300 crore for various projects in Karnataka providing employment to around 1,650 people. This information was given in the official statement on Monday. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil was present here at the signing of an MoU in this regard.
According to the official statement, Air India plans to set up a maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility and make Bengaluru the aviation hub in South India. “There will be an investment of around Rs 1,300 crore for the project,” the statement said. This will ensure direct employment generation of 1,200 people.
TASL plans to set up three projects with a total investment of Rs 1,030 crore. “All these projects are the first of their kind in India,” the statement said. These will be located at Bengaluru International Airport and Kolar. These will further strengthen Karnataka’s aerospace and defense ecosystem.
