On the demand of FOSTA President Kailash Hakim, Surat Police, on the orders of Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to arrest the accused who were involved in fraud in the textile market of Surat city for a long time and were wanted in financial matters. Have done.
This team will investigate cases like fraud with textile traders, shops being taken over using fake documents, and goods purchased on credit and payment not being made. The team will make every possible effort to catch the absconding accused and bring them to justice.
18 policemen included in SIT:
In this special team, a team of 18 policemen including one DCP, one ACP, three police inspectors, three police sub-inspectors and police constables from Crime Branch, Salabatpura and Eco Cell will investigate to catch the fugitive fraudster.
Working of SIT:
- The Incharge Police Station Officer will prepare the information about the wanted accused in the crimes registered regarding fraud in the textile market and send it to ACP G.A. Sarvaiya.
- ACP Sarvaiya will work to nab the absconding accused by collecting information and forming different teams in coordination with the team head to take action to nab the wanted accused.
- Those absconding accused who have been booked under Cr.P.C. If warrants are not issued as per Section 70, they should be issued by the station in-charge.
- The bank accounts of the absconding accused will be investigated.
- While going to arrest the accused within the state or outside the state, necessary permission should be obtained through the head of the special team and the teams should be sent.
- Information about the action taken by the teams will be sent every fifteen days.
This initiative will be a big relief for textile traders and will help them get justice.
