Taliban On TTP & Pakistan: TTP Militants Are Pakistan Responsibility Not Ours Says Taliban Suhail Shaheen
[ad_1]
After the Taliban government came to power in Afghanistan in August 2021, TTP terrorists have intensified their attacks on Pakistani army and civilians. The Government of Pakistan is continuously demanding action from the Taliban against these terrorists. Not only this, the Defense Minister of Pakistan has even threatened to carry out airstrikes in Afghanistan. Even after this, it has not affected the Taliban who have come back to power in Afghanistan only with the help of Pakistan.
Taliban rejects Durand Line
Suhail Shaheen said in a conversation with Arab News, ‘TTP is not in Afghanistan, as I said, we have promised that the land of Afghanistan will not be allowed to be used for terrorist activities. They are in the tribal areas of Pakistan. That’s why the responsibility inside Pakistan is theirs, not ours. Another point of contention between Pakistan and the Taliban is the border line, the Durand Line. This boundary line is 2,640 km and was built during the British era.
Pakistan says that the Durand Line is the official border line but Afghanistan has been rejecting this line since historical times. Asked about the Durand Line being the border line between the two countries, Taliban leader Shaheen said, “It is not a border, it is just a line.” He said that it is enough to say this much on this issue. On relations with the Pakistan Army, Suhail Shaheen said that Afghanistan maintains relations with various countries and not with the security forces.
