Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has said that the ISKP is an Afghan affiliate of the Islamic State and a major opponent of the Taliban. Mujahid said Qari Fateh was reportedly the chief strategist for the ISKP and was responsible for planning several attacks, including on the Russian, Pakistani and Chinese diplomatic missions in Kabul.
Kari Fateh used to make strategy. He had also recently conspired to attack the embassies of Russia, Pakistan and China in Kabul. More information regarding Qari Fateh will be published in Khorasan Diary in coming days. Qari Tufail alias Fateh was the commander of the eastern sector during ISKP’s control in Nangarhar. However, in recent times the group had changed its strategy and he was made the intelligence chief.
