At least 11 people, including nine bus passengers, have been killed by unidentified terrorists in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province. In the first incident, armed assailants stopped a bus on a highway in Noshki district on Friday and abducted nine men at gunpoint, police said Saturday.

“Later, the bodies of these nine men were found near a bridge in the nearby hilly area and bullet marks were found on their bodies,” an officer said. He said, “The bus was going from Quetta to Taftan when armed The attackers stopped the bus and after identifying the passengers, abducted nine men and took them to the mountainous areas.

In another incident, a car was fired upon on the same highway, killing two passengers and injuring two others. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that terrorists involved in the killing of 11 people on Noshki Highway will not be spared and will be caught soon.

He said that the aim of these terrorists is to disturb the peace of Balochistan. Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the incident and said that the government is with the families of the deceased in this difficult time. So far no banned organization has claimed responsibility for these killings but the incidents of terror attacks by banned organizations and terrorists have increased in recent weeks this year.
