Thailand’s Prime Minister meets Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi – Dainik Savera Times

On January 29, Thai Prime Minister Sretha Thavisin met with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Bangkok. Wang Yi said China always views Thailand as the primary direction of neighborly diplomacy. The main objective of this visit is to increase cooperation in various fields by implementing the existing similarities between the leaders of the two countries. China is keen to maintain high-level exchanges with Thailand, deepen cultural exchanges, take advantage of visa-free travel opportunities to expand two-way tourism, and deepen practical cooperation in economic and trade investment.

Both sides should carry out high-quality Belt and Road co-construction, accelerate the construction of the China-Thailand Railway, and complete the middle line of the Trans-Asian Railway so as to provide new impetus to the long-term development of the two countries. Tawisin said Thailand attaches great importance to Thailand-China relations and firmly adheres to the one China principle. Thailand actively participates in Belt and Road co-construction. Following the talks, the leaders of the two countries attended the signing ceremony of an agreement to export related agricultural products from Thailand to China. During the visit, Wang Yi held annual talks with Thai Deputy Prime Minister Parnpree-Bahidhaha Nukra and met with Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
