But India’s staunch friend Israel has been facing difficulties for a long time. Israel is under attack from both inside and outside. The same is happening with Israel as has been happening with India. Israel is also trapped in the clutches of fundamentalists. The situation has become so bad that Israel has even been accused that the Quran burning in Europe was done at the behest of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad. People have been taking part in anti-government rallies and demonstrations in Israel since the beginning of this year.

Iran has alleged that Israel is behind the burning of the Quran in Sweden. Iran has claimed that the person who burnt the Quran in Sweden, Salman Momika, is an agent of Mossad. Salwan Momica, a 37-year-old Iraqi citizen living in Sweden, crushed a Quran and burned several pages outside a Stockholm mosque on June 28, sparking widespread anger among Muslims around the world. Iran’s Intelligence Ministry claimed that Momika’s act of burning the Quran was Israeli propaganda. Its purpose was to divert attention from Israeli operations against the Palestinians. It referenced the recent Israeli attack on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank. Iran said the criminal projects were implemented to divert attention from its sinister operations.
