Kathmandu, 10 April (Hindustan). The issue came up in Parliament on Monday amid apprehensions that Amritpal Singh, who is running the separatist ‘Khalistan’ campaign in India, might enter Nepal. The Indian Embassy had written a letter expressing the apprehension of Khalistani campaigner Amritpal entering Nepal, so the search operation has been intensified.

CPN (UML) MP Raghuji Pant said in Parliament on Monday that Nepal does not support any kind of separatism and terrorist activities. It would be against the law for foreign security personnel to enter Nepal without permission to prevent terrorist activities. In Parliament, Pant said that Nepal’s security forces are capable of catching terrorists and criminals who have fled from other countries.

In fact, the issue of six Intelligence Bureau teams coming from India in search of Amritpal Singh remains a topic of discussion in Nepali media. On this, MP Raghuji Pant said that Nepal has not allowed Indian security personnel to come, but if they have come without permission, it means that India has developed distrust towards Nepal’s security system.

He clarified that it has already become public that the Indian Embassy had written a letter expressing the apprehension of Khalistani campaigner Amritpal entering Nepal. DIG and spokesperson of Nepal Police Poshraj Pokharel has claimed that Amritpal Singh is not in Nepal as security precaution has been taken at the border.
