The discussion on the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition in the Lok Sabha against the Narendra Modi government at the Center is to begin from Tuesday. The discussion on the no-confidence motion will start from Tuesday i.e. 8th August. The no-confidence motion against the government will be discussed in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday i.e. till August 10. On August 10 itself, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the discussion on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha. After the reply of the Prime Minister, if there is a demand for division from the opposition party, then the voting in the House will also take place on the same day. If seen on the basis of the number of members of the Lok Sabha, the government does not see any danger at present due to this no-confidence motion brought by the opposition. The BJP has a majority on its own in the Lok Sabha. The BJP has 301 MPs which is enough to defeat the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition parties. If the figure of MPs of NDA’s allies is added to this, then this figure also crosses 331. As you know, Biju Janata Dal and YSR Congress – both these political parties have also decided to support the Modi government against the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition. The Biju Janata Dal currently has 12 MPs in the Lok Sabha, while the YSR Congress has 22 MPs. After adding the number of MPs of Biju Janata Dal and YSR Congress, the number of MPs supporting the government goes up to 365 and it is much more than the mobilization of opposition parties.

In such a situation, the first question is arising that despite the figures not being in favor, why have the opposition parties brought this no-confidence motion against the Modi government? The opposition parties have united and formed a coalition named INDIA, but on the basis of numbers, when the real time came to show the strength of this alliance, the opposition parties thought it better to walkout instead of conducting the voting. During the passage of the bill in the Lok Sabha regarding the authority of the Delhi government, if the opposition parties wanted, they could have shown their strength by demanding division and getting voting done in the house, but they did not do so at that time. In such a situation, the question arises that how can the opposition alliance show its strength without demanding voting because democracy is a game of number counting and you must tell how many MPs and political parties are standing with you inside the house. Are.

In fact, when the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition is discussed in the Lok Sabha, the same question will arise in front of the opposition alliance that despite not having the numbers, what is the purpose of bringing the no-confidence motion? Surrounding the government?, Uniting the opposition parties?, Directly attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi?, Forcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a speech in the House or showing his strength?

In such a situation, instead of starting the discussion on August 8, all eyes will be on the fact that the opposition parties, who gave fiery speeches inside the house against the government, will vote on the no-confidence motion brought by themselves in the house on August 10. Will you show your strength or not? Will Congress and Nitish Kumar’s party JDU, which became the pivot of opposition unity, be able to ensure that the MPs of all the political parties involved in the INDIA alliance are present and vote against the government in the Lok Sabha during the voting against the government? It will also be a matter to be seen that during the discussion on the no-confidence motion, the focus of the opposition parties will be more on the incident in Manipur or on the work of the Modi government for 9 years or on setting the agenda for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024?

Despite not having the numerical strength, the biggest objective of the opposition parties to bring the motion of no confidence is to show their strength as well as to give a political message to the general public. In such a situation, the biggest test of the opposition parties is that on the one hand, they will have to show that the acceptability of the INDIA alliance is increasing among other political parties as well, by associating the political parties outside the alliance, and on the other hand, they will have to The people of the country also have to be assured that their alliance is ready to be an alternative to the NDA coalition led by the Modi government at the Center and is not only ready but is going to be an alternative. Because one thing is very clear that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stand in the House to answer the discussion on the no-confidence motion, then according to his style, Gandhi family, Rahul Gandhi and all the leaders who have become the face of opposition unity in the Lok Sabha including Congress will be attacked. Will also count the achievements of our government, talk about scams and scams of the previous government and also give a big political message to the people of the country for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024 and to counter this and that too within the Lok Sabha Doing this is the biggest challenge for the opposition parties because if they are not able to do so, then Prime Minister Modi, BJP and NDA alliance will take advantage of the no-confidence motion brought by them instead.
