Twenty-nine years later, in 1988, Zuoga took over from his father as township chief and served there for 29 years. By 1999, Yumei Township had grown to 5 households with 22 people, and the per capita annual income exceeded the average level of Tibetan farmers and herders.

In recent years, with the construction of Happy Village on the border of Tibet, many policies were introduced in Yumei Township to benefit the people and stabilize the border, which has brought a tremendous change in the conditions of Yumei Township, and the local people have a happy life. are spending Zuoga said that the central government is promoting rural revitalization in an all-round manner. Although Yumei is a border region, we must not hold back. We should not only protect the border and keep the border safe, but also make the border prosperous. It is required to engage in greenhouse vegetables and border tourism under the supervision of the Chinese Communist Party and government. Inspired by the new mission, Zuoga devoted himself more actively to the new work.
