He said that it is the responsibility of Indian students living in Britain to oppose the wrong discourse about their country. The Vice President told the students present at the event that India was proud of their achievements and talent and urged them to play the role of goodwill ambassadors of the country. He referred to the achievements of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized on its strong democratic identity. The Vice President said, “India determines its stand in global affairs according to its understanding, its welfare and global peace. India is emerging as a superpower. “He said,” There is no such freedom of expression in any part of the world except India. There has not been any reduction in any democratic value in our country, rather it is flourishing much more than before.
The Vice President said that it is the responsibility of Indian students living in the UK to oppose the wrong narrative about the country. Dhankhar said, “If you do not agree with it, then you should oppose it. Wrong discourse for such a vibrant democracy is against our national interest. I have no doubt that the strongest reaction comes from logical thinking.
