Indices in the broader markets traded higher, with BSE Mid-cap index rising 0.61% and BSE Small-cap index rising 0.90%. Top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. and Vodafone Idea Ltd., while top small-cap gainers were Punjab Chemicals & Crop Protection Ltd. and HCL Infosystems Ltd.

The market cap of BST listed companies stood at Rs 304 lakh crore on 4th August. 204 stocks are at 52-week high and 24 are at 52-week low. Today these penny stocks have hit upper circuit. In such a situation, investors should keep an eye on them.
