The BSE Sensex is trading down nearly 315 points or 0.46% at 65,015 and the NSE Nifty-50 index is down around 107 points or 0.55% at 19,466. Today, 1,231 scrips advanced, 2,187 scrips declined and 175 scrips remained unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on BSE
Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. were top gainers, while State Bank of India Ltd., Tata Steel Ltd. and JSW Steel India Ltd. were top losers on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex today.
The indices traded lower in the broader market. The BSE Mid-Cap index was down 0.88% and the BSE Small-Cap index was up 0.72%, respectively. Top mid-cap gainers were Varun Beverages Ltd. and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., while top small-cap gainers were Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd. and Skippers Ltd.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies as on August 14, 2023 is approximately Rs 302 lakh crore. With this, 149 stocks hit 52-week high and 37 hit 52-week low.
