Stock to Watch Today: After the huge fall in the Indian stock market on Monday, it can make a good start today amid strong signals from the global market. At 7.30 am, Nifty is seen trading at 21,700, 100 points above its last close. With this, Dow in America increased by 0.58 percent. The S&P 500 rose 1.41 percent and the Nasdaq Composite rose 2.2 percent. Asian shares also gained. Japan’s Nikkei jumped 1.3 percent. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 rose one percent. Bajaj Auto: The company has announced share buyback worth Rs 4,000 crore up to 4,000,000 shares at Rs 10,000 per share.
zee entertainment: Sony Group Corp is planning to cancel the merger agreement of its Indian unit with Zee Entertainment, Bloomberg reported.
Tata Motors: Its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover reported a 27 per cent rise in total wholesale sales to 101,043 units in the December quarter compared to a year ago. During this period, JLR made the highest wholesale sales in 11 quarters.
Aurobindo Pharma: The US FDA had inspected the company’s formulation manufacturing facility located in Chitkul, Telangana from September 22 to September 29. The FDA has classified the facility as ‘Voluntary Action Indicated’ in the establishment inspection report.
Bajaj Finserv: Its subsidiary Bajaj Allianz General Insurance recorded gross direct premium of Rs 1,425 crore for the month of December 2023.
Metropolis Healthcare: The hospital chain said it saw early double-digit growth in revenue for its core business in Q3, which rose 12 percent year-on-year. Revenue growth was primarily driven by volume growth of 9 percent. B2C revenue grew by 14 percent on an annual basis.
Fino Payments Bank:The company has applied for a small finance bank license with the RBI under its ‘On Tap’ licensing norms.
Eicher Motors: Royal Enfield, a unit of the company, has earmarked an investment of Rs 3,000 crore over eight years in Tamil Nadu for the development of new products.
Adani Enterprises:The company’s step-down subsidiary, Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), has won the arbitration case against the Airport Authority of India. Citing force majeure, MIAL has now been exempted from paying monthly annual fee for the period between March 13, 2020 and February 28, 2022.
Cipla:Cipla (EU) Ltd has entered into a strategic collaboration with Kemwell Biopharma and Manipal Education and Medical Group to incorporate a joint venture in the US.
Oil India:The company signed a joint venture agreement with Assam Power Generation Corp for renewable energy generation in the state.
IRM Energy: The company said it will invest Rs 858 crore in Tamil Nadu in the next five years.
BEML:The company has received orders worth Rs 330 crore from the Defense Ministry.
IRB Infra: The company and its partner IRB Infrastructure Trust have collectively recorded a 26 percent increase in toll collection in December compared to last year.
