Mumbai: Indian benchmark indices were still trading in red mark today. In this, BSE Consumer Durables Index was the top sectoral index, while BSE Healthcare Index was the biggest loser.

On Friday morning, the BSE Sensex is trading down nearly 236 points or 0.37% at 65,690 and the NSE Nifty-50 index is down around 78 points or 0.40% at 19,466. Around 1,689 scrips advanced, 1,691 scrips declined and 164 scrips remained unchanged on the BSE.

Top Gainers and Top Losers on BSE

HCL Technologies Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and Tata Steel Limited were the top gainers on Sensex today. Whereas, Tech Mahindra Ltd., IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. were top losers on the Sensex.

Some indices traded higher in the broader market. These included the BSE Mid-Cap Index and the BSE Small-Cap Index. These indexes rose by 0.14% and 0.05% respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Overseas Bank and REC Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were RPSG Ventures Ltd and PTC Industries Ltd.

The market capitalization of companies listed on BSE as on 11 August 2023 is approximately Rs 305 lakh crore. With this, 175 stocks hit 52-week high and 19 hit 52-week low.
