Tibetan Cultural Week program recently concluded in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Tibet’s special intangible cultural heritage, singing and dancing, left a deep impression on local audiences.
The current program showcased Thangka art of Tibet, intangible cultural heritage products and cultural programs. This increased Russian people’s knowledge of China’s Tibet and played an active role in cultural exchange between China and Russia.
Moscow State Deputy Premier Filimonov said Moscow pays attention to cooperation with China in various fields. The Tibetan Cultural Week program is an important event of cultural exchange between the two countries.
In the programme, Pama Tawa, the inheritor of Thangka art, demonstrated how to make Thangka paintings. He said that the Russian people have great interest in Tibetan culture. He has a desire to know the traditional culture of Tibet.
Fang Lithao, the Chinese Minister Counselor based in Russia, said that through the program, more Russians got to know the diversity of Chinese culture and the achievements made in the development of Tibet.
