To register at the railway station counter, you will have to approach the Station Master or Chief Booking Supervisor of the station where the journey begins. There you have to give a return request for FTR booking. You will have to give all the details in it. The Chief Booking Supervisor will then feed this information into the FTR system. After that they will be given a system generated slip. The reference number and registration amount are mentioned in this slip. Then this amount has to be deposited over the counter there.

Train booking parties can book a train of minimum 18 coaches and maximum of 24 coaches. These will also include two SLRs. SLR stands for Guard Box. It is fitted at the front and rear of the train. What will be the registration amount

If you book a coach, you will have to pay a registration amount of Rs 50,000 per coach for a maximum tour of seven days. If your tour is for more than seven days, then an additional Rs 10,000 will have to be deposited for each coach every day. If you are booking a train, then you will have to deposit nine lakh rupees for seven days for an 18-coach train. If you want more coaches than this, you will have to deposit Rs 50,000 for each additional coach. If your tour will be for more than seven days, then Rs 10,000 more per coach will have to be deposited for each day.
