The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has given permission to the NIA to investigate. Inputs of conspiracy related to Pakistani and Khalistani supporters have been received in the protest case. The NIA has taken over the case from the Special Cell of Delhi Police. The Special Cell has also been asked to provide him an official copy of the FIR registered in the matter.
According to NIA sources, the role of Khalistani terrorists, including Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, has been seen in this case, after which the investigation in the matter has been cleared by the Union Home Ministry. On March 24, a case was registered against Khalistani and his supporters by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on the orders of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
India-UK dialogue
The Home Office has spoken to the UK government about the recent violent clashes at the former mission in London. As per the details, Khalistani activities and protests were discussed between the ministries of the two countries during the 5th India-UK Home Affairs Dialogue. The dialogue, held in New Delhi, was led by Union Home Secretary, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, while the UK delegation was led by Permanent Secretary, Home Office, Sir Matthew Rycroft. During the meeting, India asked the United Kingdom to keep a close watch on Khalistani activities in its country and act against the accused accordingly. India also said that Khalistani activists were plotting terrorist activities in India.
