Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has come under a lot of tension due to the statement made by the Taliban government regarding the Doha deal. TTP terrorists are currently carrying out bloody attacks in Pakistan and the Pakistan Army is paying a heavy price. Earlier in a conversation with BBC Pashto, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid had said on reminding Pakistan of its responsibilities under the Doha Agreement that it had not made any peace deal with Islamabad.
‘Taliban should act on TTP’
Zabiullah also said that his country will not allow its land to be used to attack Pakistan. The Taliban described Pakistan as a Muslim and friendly country. Pakistan is repeatedly demanding Taliban to take action against Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists but till now it has been of no avail. TTP terrorists are continuously attacking the land of Afghanistan. Only last week, after the death of 12 soldiers, Pakistan’s army had said that it was very concerned about the shelter given to terrorists in the neighboring country.
The Pakistan Army has threatened the Taliban that it has the option of entering Afghanistan to launch an effective attack on the TTP. Farhatullah Babar, leader of the ruling Pakistan People’s Party, said it was “very disturbing”. He said, ‘The Taliban spokesperson said that the Taliban had signed the Doha Agreement with the US and not with Pakistan. Taliban’s policy towards Pakistan is different. He questioned whether the Doha Agreement binds the Taliban to some terrorists and not all. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has also agreed with his statement.
