After the powerful (intensity Richter Scale 7.8) earthquake in the mountains, strong shocks of three consecutive earthquakes were felt on the same day. Many buildings collapsed due to the earthquake. Hundreds of people are still stuck in empty dumps, many are missing. There is a possibility of increasing the death toll further. Seven days of national mourning has been declared in Turkey.

According to the information received, at least 4000 people have been killed in Turkey and Syria and more than 20,000 people have been injured. More than 1,700 buildings were damaged in 10 cities, reports citing the country’s vice president Fiat Oktay said. At the same time, at least 783 people were killed and 639 were injured in Syria.
