New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yacarino said on Saturday that no other platform has the power that Twitter has and they are going to create history. Yacarino, who replaced Elon Musk as Twitter CEO earlier this week, said the first week has been intoxicating. “No other platform has the power and no other place has the people I’ve met this week,” she said in a tweet. Stay tuned – we are making history.
Twitter’s mission is clear and everyone is invited—creators, presidential candidates, everyone in between, Yacarino said. He further wrote, the first week has been quite addictive. There’s nothing like Twitter, its people, all of you and I’m here for it all. Yacarino joined Twitter after its US ad sales fell 59 percent in April and the month of May was not looking bright.
According to The New York Times, Twitter’s US advertising revenue for the five weeks from April 1 to the first week of May was $88 million, down 59 percent from a year earlier.
The report said, in internal forecasts, the company forecast ad sales would continue to decline, posing a tough challenge to its new CEO. Yacarino said last month that he set out to build Twitter 2.0 and transform the business with Musk and the platform’s millions of users.
