New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Twitter has removed the blue ticks from legacy verified accounts from today, April 21, Friday. After this action of Twitter, blue ticks have been removed from the Twitter accounts of many big billionaire businessmen like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata including superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, cricketer Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma. Those who have been taking advantage of Blue Tick for free till now. But now they also have to pay for blue tick. Only then will you be able to take advantage of the facility of Blue Tick.
Musk had already announced the removal of the blue tick from the legacy verified account. He had said that from April the legacy blue tick mark would be removed from the verified account. Musk had said that if Blue Tick is required then it will have to be paid every month. The cost of which is Rs.650 through web and Rs.900 through iOS-Android per month.

The blue tick has also been removed from the names of many celebrities including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, former minister Satyendar Jain, minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, CM Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal.
Earlier it was announced that the microblogging site would remove the verified blue ticks of the accounts. Those who were verified by Twitter prior to Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, unless they are subscribed to the Twitter Blue or Business Focused Twitter Verified Organizations plan.
Blue ticks initially served as a way to protect celebrities from fake accounts and combat misinformation. Earlier in March, Twitter from its official handle posted, “On April 1, we will begin phasing out our legacy Verified program and removing the Verified blue ticks. People can sign up for Twitter Blue to keep their Blue Tick on Twitter.”
Twitter started first. The blue check mark system was created in 2009 to help users identify whether the accounts of celebrities, politicians, companies and brands, news organizations and other public interests were real and not fake. The company did not charge for the first verification. Elon Musk launched Twitter Blue with a check-mark badge as one of the premium services within two weeks of acquiring the company in 2022.
