The Crime Investigation Department (CID-Intelligence) of the Rajasthan Police has arrested two people on charges of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) S. Sengathir said that the espionage activities carried out in Rajasthan by the Pakistani intelligence agency are continuously monitored by the CID.
During this monitoring, it was found that Ratan Khan (52 years), resident of Lango ki Dhani, Dharvi Kalan and Paruram (34 years), resident of Chimaniyo ki Dhani, Shobhala Jetmal, in the border area of Barmer, are in constant contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media. . On this the CID-Intelligence of Jaipur started monitoring the activities of the said persons. After the said suspects were found to be involved in espionage activities, their interrogation was started. He said that during interrogation and technical investigation, it was confirmed that the accused were acting as local agents at the behest of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
It was also revealed that the accused used to send photographs, videos, location and confidential information of strategic importance to the ISI of restricted places in the border area of Barmer and received money in return. On this, separate cases have been registered against the accused under Official Secrets Act 4923 and they have been arrested. They are being questioned further.
