Ukraine Moscow Drone Attack : Ukraine Drone Attack On Moscow Building Second Time Home Of Many Russian Ministries
[ad_1]
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said last week that “the effects of the war are slowly reappearing on Russian territory”, but did not claim responsibility for the attacks. The Russian Defense Ministry said Tuesday morning that two Ukrainian drones were shot down and another jammed outside Moscow. The ministry said it collided with a building in downtown Moscow due to traffic jams, causing damage to the front of the building.
Attack on the same building twice
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the drone hit the same building that was damaged in a similar attack early Sunday. There were no casualties in Tuesday’s attack, he said. However, it is not clear why the same building was attacked twice in a row. In both incidents, the Russian military said the drones that hit the building had been jammed prior to the attack.
What is it like in the building?
The drone hit the 42-storey IQ-Quarters tower which houses the offices of several ministries. This building in Moscow houses the offices of the Russian Ministries of Trade, Digital and Economic Development. The IQ-Quarter building is part of the Moscow City business district. According to the report of the Russian newspaper RBC, the employees of the Ministry of Economic Development located on the 21st floor, where the drone collided, have been forbidden to come to the office.
