Karachi: Two soldiers were killed and four others injured when unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on a bomb disposal squad of the Pakistani Army near the port city of Gwadar in the restive Balochistan province. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Gwadar, Mohsin Zoheb, said that the firing incident took place about 25 km away from the port city (Gwadar), in which two people lost their lives and four others were injured. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The separatist Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks in Gwadar in the past. BLA opposes China’s investment in Balochistan. He accuses China and Pakistan of exploiting the resource-rich province. This allegation has been rejected by the authorities.
