UNOG Extra. Representative Dr. Dinesh Sabnis was awarded the “Book for Peace” International Special Prize 2023 from Fundação Università Vida Christa and UNESCO in Rome, Italy.
The Book for Peace Award was born from a project of a group of associations: FUNVIC (Fundação Universitaria Vida Crista) – UNESCO BFUCA-WFUCA Brazil Club – Section Europe, ANASPOL (local police) formed with the support of IADPES, CIVU Malta and UNEP to be done.
Dr. Dinesh Sabnis, a senior educationist, sports consultant, author and humanitarian activist, was awarded the “Book for Peace” International Special Award 2023 by Professor Antonio Imenio, co-founder of the Book for Peace Project and Director of the International are also. FUNVIC-Europe Research Center in Rome, Italy. This special award was given to Dr. Sabnis for his sincere efforts towards UNSDG, diplomacy and peace building projects.
Dr. Dinesh Sabnis holds various senior honorary positions in INGOs and IGOs representing the United Nations in ECOSOC in general and special advisory status respectively for various SDG projects and missions. Dr. Sabnis has received State Awards (Government of Maharashtra) and various commemorative medals from the United Nations Blue Beret Association in the past for his commendable work in peace and diplomacy. In recent times, Dr. Sabnis also received the UN NGO Grand Cross from the Austria-based Lazarus Union (UN General Consultative Status Organization) for his contributions to education and humanitarian assistance.
