Dhaka. In the wake of the 12th National Parliament elections in Bangladesh, the US Embassy in Dhaka has advised its citizens in Bangladesh to take precautions against protests.
A warning posted on the US Embassy website on Sunday, titled ‘Demonstration Alert’, said Bangladesh would hold national elections in or before January 2024. Because of this, political events and protests are now more likely to be seen here. The embassy said that all US citizens in Bangladesh should heed the advance warning of the possible situation.
Such protests are supposed to be peaceful, but sometimes they can lead to chaos. Therefore, American citizens have been advised to be cautious. The embassy advised American citizens to avoid public gatherings and protests. Further, he urged the citizens to always be in a state of alert, watch local media regularly, carry a charged mobile phone with them at all times for emergency communication and follow advisories.
