The United Nations World Food Program, the world’s largest humanitarian organization, aims to help some 150 million people facing the effects of conflict, disaster and climate change this year. McCain’s appointment was announced jointly by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, Qu Dongyu.
